UE tworzy wspólny rynek telewizji mobilnej
“Zapewni to operatorom skalę rynkową niezbędną dla wprowadzenia powszechnej usługi telewizji mobilnej w UE. Wspólna norma europejska będzie również korzystna dla konsumentów, którzy będą mogli oglądać telewizję w telefonach lub urządzeniach komórkowych w każdej chwili i w każdym miejscu w Europie” – czytamy w komunikacie Komisji Europejskiej.
W Polsce testy techniczne DVB-H rozpoczęły się kilka miesięcy temu. Od połowy lutego mogą ją oglądać uczestnicy programu pilotażowego w promieniu 30 km od centrum Warszawy (poza budynkami, w budynkach – w promieniu 10 km). To efekt porozumienia PTC, Centertela, P4 i Polkomtela. Na razie tuzin programów za darmo udostępniły operatorom m.in. TVN, Polsat i TVP. Prezes TP SA szacuje koszty budowy ogólnopolskiej sieci telewizji mobilnej na 100-200 mln euro.
